Literature Text

The storm is finally over,
It left it's evidence.
Torn in two, things corrupt,
The atmosphere intense.

Luckily it has retreated,
Unless I'm in the eye.
I'm longing for the perfect day,
When I wave it all goodbye.

It seemed far in the distance,
And almost out of sight.
Just another cruel illusion..
Another parent fight.
Something that happened in the past convinced me to write this awhile ago. It is personal, but also universal because many people will relate. I felt it was only necessary to post it.

you are a great writer.

mixed feelings about the last line... at the same time it brings the poem to a nice literal ending (which from your comment and style of writing i guess you like) but at the same time i think the poem could cover so many bases if you left it out. especially if you want more people to relate to your poem.

i've re-read this poem repeatedly. it's excellent.

favourite-ed.
